Weber Packaging Solutions is an experienced innovator in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance labelling and coding products for the industrial marketplace. We provide the latest in systems, software, and media and back them with a nation-wide network of direct sales, service, and technical support.

Our products can be found in virtually all industries, from medical to retail; from plastics to automotive; from food to pharmaceutical. Our systems are used to address countless applications such as product identification, bar code compliance labelling, inventory control, work-in progress tracking, shipment addressing, and bin and shelf labelling.

The role: Installing, commissioning, servicing and the repair of labelling and ink coding machines. Advising on and implementing related technical and engineering solutions. This is a high volume, fast paced environment which requires a dynamic, energetic, intelligent, resourceful, direct, flexible, and committed individual who can react quickly and achieve speedy results. The post-holder is required to work with minimum supervision and as directed by the Service Controller and the Projects Manager. The post has significant travel between customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland with regular periods away from home. A company vehicle is provided. You need to be flexible with regards your start time and end of day to meet customer needs. A level of overtime is expected. Overtime is payable at premium rates. Full training on our systems will be given.

The Field Service Engineer also promotes our full range of labelling products, including service contracts, spare parts, accessories, assists in recognising and reporting equipment sales leads. The Field Service Engineers is expected to feed back data from the field to assist with quality and design improvements to products.

The Candidate: You will have a third level qualification (or above) in an engineering discipline. Previous experience in a technical or engineering, customer facing environment with strong skills in diagnosing and rectifying both electrical and mechanical faults is desired, though we will consider recent graduates for the position, if firsthand experience can be demonstrated. Using your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with your strong people skills, you will have the ability to build good working relationships internally and externally managing customer expectations. Knowledge and experience of using computer software is essential. A clean driving license is required.

Location: You will provide services to customers in Ireland (75%) and the UK (25%) and internationally, as required.

Salary: €23,000.00-€37,700.00 per year
